Audi Q3 Sportback Bookings Open For Rs 2 lakh

The German car manufacturer Audi is adding a new SUV to its lineup in India the Q3 Sportback. The Q3 Sportback back is essentially the coupe version of the standard Q3 SUV and the brand has commenced the booking of the vehicle for a token of Rs 2 lakh. The vehicle shares everything similar to the Q3 SUV in the interior and Mechanical. However, the only change that distinguishes the vehicle is the new Sportback coupe-like styling. The Q3 Sportback is the first coupe-style SUV in the entry-level luxury SUV segment in India. This new Styling of the vehicle makes it more sportier.

The vehicle features couple of changes to the exterior design of the vehicle. The Q3 Sportback is longer than the standard Q3 SUV. the Q3 Sportback measures 4,518mm in length, 1,843mm in width and 1,558mm in height. This makes it 36mm longer, 6mm narrower and 49mm shorter than the Q3 SUV. The vehicle is distinguished with large front hexagonal grille with honey comp pattern. It gets more sharp triangular air-intakes, and all the chrome elements are blacked out. Over the side the vehicle features 18 inch sporty alloy wheels, and the most catchy difference is the slopping roofline.

The interior of the vehicle largely remains the same with the standard Q3. It gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen and Audi’s Virtual Cockpit all-digital instrument cluster. However to distinguish the interior the Q3 Sportback gets two interior upholstery colour options – Okapi Brown and Pearl Beige. The Q3 Sportback will offer other features such as a 10-speaker audio system, wireless charger, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof and dual-zone climate control. The safety features are updated with six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages and a tyre-pressure monitoring system. But Audi is not offering ADAS features on the Q3 Sportback like on the standard Q3 SUV.

The vehicle remains unchanged under the hood. The Q3s are powered by 2.0 litre inline 4 cylinder tubrocharged TFSI petrol engine that produces 188 bhp power and 320 Nm of torque. The engine is matted to a 7 speed DSG transmission. Audi India could also bring the more powerful 45 TFSI variant to India to bring sportier appeal to the Q3 Sportback. This version develops 241 bhp and 370 Nm of peak torque. The Q3 Sportback will be positioned above the standard Q3 and it is expected to be priced above 50 lakh ex-showroom.
