Mercedes-Benz India is gearing up for an exciting launch on May 22, with the unveiling of two highly anticipated models: the Maybach GLS 600 and the AMG S 63 4MATIC E Performance. The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 receives subtle yet discernible enhancements, while the AMG S 63 makes a grand return in a revamped avatar.The refreshed Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 maintains its distinguished aesthetic with its iconic vertical chrome grille slats, now subtly enlarged for a more commanding presence.
Accompanying the grille are redesigned front bumpers and newly styled 22-inch wheels, adding a touch of sophistication to its exterior. Inside, the cabin remains consistent with the previous model’s layout, albeit with a fresh steering wheel design. Luxurious features such as Manufaktur leather interior, dual-screen displays, rear infotainment screens, a premium 27-speaker Burmester sound system, and ambient lighting ensure an opulent driving experience.Under the hood, the 2024 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 is expected to retain its powerful twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 petrol engine, augmented by a 48V starter-generator system. This setup delivers an impressive output of 557hp and 730Nm of torque, with an additional boost of 22hp and 250Nm from the electric system.
Meanwhile, the all-new AMG S 63 boasts an updated version of its predecessor’s twin-turbocharged V8 engine, augmented by a rear-axle-mounted electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. This innovative configuration propels the S 63 to unprecedented heights, generating a staggering 802hp and an immense 1,430Nm of torque, making it the most potent S-Class ever produced. Furthermore, the integration of an electric motor grants the S 63 an electric-only range of 33km, enhancing its eco-friendly credentials.
