2025 BMW M4 Competition Revealed With More Power

BMW officially revealed the updated M4 Competition in Coupe and Convertible options. The M4 Competition is the sportiest version of the 4 Series as the company has focused more on mechanicals than design. The heart of the M4 Competition is a 3.0 L inline six-cylinder engine producing 503 hp and 649 Nm of torque for the rear-wheel drive model. Still, the four-wheel drive variant now produces 523 hp of power and 649 Nm of torque, when compared to the earlier model, the power has increased by 20 hp.

The performance difference between the regular M4 and the competition model is more than 3 sec as the 0-100 kph on the M4 Competition with rear-wheel drive comes up in 3.8 sec compared to 4.1 sec on the standard model. But the four-wheel drive version of the M4 Competition with added power drops the 0-100 kph performance to 3.4 sec. When it comes to the convertible version, the time increases to 3.6 sec, which is expected because of the extra drag. The top speed of the M4 is 249 kph.

However, the customers have the option to increase the top speed of both the coupe and convertible versions with the M Drivers Package to 289 kph for the coupe version and 280 kph for the convertible version. Some of the exterior changes include updated LED headlamps new front and rear bumper along with tweaked tail lamps. The interior changes include a new flat-bottom steering wheel and a new 14.9-inch infotainment system with Drive 8.5 software also making its debut.
