Volkswagen Taigun GT Line and GT Plus Sport Showcased, Launch Soon

Volkswagen officially revealed the Taigun GT Line and GT Plus Sport at the Annual Brand Conference 2024 as both these variants will be introduced later this year and all the changes are aesthetical rather than mechanical. The changes on the Taigun GT Plus Sport include smoked LED headlamps that exude an aura of modernity along with a Carbon Steel Grey roof which adds a touch of elegance, while the red GT branding on the grille, fender, and rear profile gives a sporty look for the SUV. The dark chrome door handles and striking red brake callipers further elevate the design theme.

The exterior transformation continues with a chrome delete, rendering a sleek and uniform appearance. Gloss black now dominates the front grille, diffuser, wing mirrors, alloy wheels, and fender badges, underscoring the Taigun GT Plus Sport’s contemporary aesthetic. While it also features the chrome delete treatment, it foregoes the red brake callipers and opts for a GT Line badge on the doors. Inside the cabin, the GT Plus Sport variant indulges occupants with an all-black theme complemented by a black headliner and gloss black inserts on the dash.

The attention to detail is evident, with red stitching adorning the steering wheel and a prominent GT logo gracing the front seats. The Taigun GT Plus Sport is available with a 1.5 L EVO Series engine producing 150 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT gearbox. The 1.0 L TSI engine is available with GT Line as it comes with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed gearbox. Volkswagen hasn’t specified an exact launch date but it is expected in the coming months.
