Updated Tata Safari Deliveries Commenced In India

Tata Motors officially introduced the updated Safari earlier this year. Now the company has commenced the deliveries of the new Safari. The Safari along with Harrier received lots of updates which the customers have been waiting for a long time. The changes are focused more on the interior as the Safari will now come with a brand-new 10.25-inch touch-screen infotainment system with new software and it follows the design theme of the last-generation BMW i-drive with a title that can be customised.

Apart from this the Harrier will get a new digital instrument cluster and some of the features are a memory function on the front seats, a welcome function, a wireless charger, type-c USB ports and a 360-degree camera. The ADAS features include auto emergency braking, forward and rear collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, blindspot detection, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist, lane departure warning, and lane change alert but missed out adaptive cruise control.

The key rival of Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV 700 already come with Level-II ADAS features. The Safari will retain the 2.0 L diesel engine sourced from Jeep with 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque convertor from Hyundai. We are not expecting the petrol-powered Harrier/Safari to be introduced this time as the company is still developing the petrol version. The price is expected to be slightly higher than the outgoing model.
