By Toyota showcased the hydrogen powered Mirai at the 2023 auto expo in India. Toyota has filled the pavillion with some very interesting vehicles. Toyota Mirai is one of the very significant model in Toyotas global lineup. It is claimed to be the first vehicle in India to be powered by hydrogen fuel cell. The vehicle features a very distinct sedan body styling. The styling of the vehicle makes its more appealing and premium. The front fascia of the vehicle gives a prominent character to the vehicle with a sportier looking grille and sleeker headlight with better aerodynamics. Over the side the vehicle feels a lot similar to the Lexus sedans as it shares its TNGA-L platform.
The interior of the cabin is very well equipped. The Mirai offers 12.3-inch touchscreen display with connectivity features, colour heads-up display, panoramic view monitor, digital rearview mirror, wireless charger, panoramic sunroof, heated, ventilated seats, Toyota Teammate software for the driver’s assistance, and much more. The hydrogen powered Mirai is able to produce a maximum power of 182 hp and 300 Nm torque. The electric motor powered by the hydrogen fuel cell drives the rear wheel drive. It gives a performance like an EV – quick throttle response and torque. The manufacturer claims a range of 650 km. It can able to go 0 to 100 in 9.2 seconds. The relevance of Hydrogen powered car is still a question as the world is now capable and moving very quickly towards pure EV.
