By Toyota showcased the brands famous Hybrid vehicle the Prius at the 2023 auto expo. The Prius is a very significant model in the Toyota global line up that really made the brand on Hybrid tech at the global level. So far the manufacturer has sold over 3.9 million Prius globally and vehicle has undergone a facelift model recently back in November 2022. The Prius is however stand on a very different position in terms of styling and design . The design characteristics of the Prius is very unique and polarizing. Many people find the vehicle not fit in the Toyotas lineup in terms of it intimidating styling.
The vehicle showcased at the auto expo is the facelift Prius. The design of the vehicle is very futuristic to our opinion. It has got a large air dam at the front and it comes with the very polarizing sweptback headlight design. The front bumper gets a very complicated styling with fog lamps placed on the corners. The front fascia however feels like inspired from a fish with a similing face. Over the side the Prius looks pretty and it still didn’t fail to give the intimidating look. Till the B pillar the vehicle feels like a sedan and towards the rear the vehicle has got a confused design of mix and match of a coupe and sports back. The rear of the vehicle has got the most interesting styling. It is so confusing and intimidating with radically styled tail lamps and huge piano black finishes running across them . The Prius has got the largest rear bumper. Eventhough the vehicle stands out from the conventional design language it has got a character and people find it unique to own one of them.
The interior of the vehicle is also very futuristic and gives a distinct looks. With the infotainment system and small gear selector at the center console. The vehicle is powered by a 1.8 litre petrol motor that produces a maximum power of 102 bhp and 142 Nm of torque and it is mated to an AC asynchronous motor produces 71hp power and 163nm of torque. Combining the power from the electric motor and engine t he vehicle gets 120 bhp all together. And it has a very impressive range of 1300 km. The vehicle can run on pure EV mode for a range of 50 km.
