By Toyota showcased the Corolla Altis Flex fuel at the 2023 auto expo. The Corolla Altis is one of the very interesting model in the Toyotas lineup. The vehicle was sold across globally. The name Corolla has a greater legacy and fan following across the globe and the manufacturer brought the Corolla Altis with the newer powertrain of running the vehicle in flex fuel or ethanol. The styling of the vehicle is more evolved from the eleventh generation Altis which we saw last in India.
The highlight of the vehicle is its powertrain. The Altis flex fuel is powered by a 1.8L VVT-i DOHC flex fuel engine which produces 102hp power and 142nm of torque. A flex fuel engine is capable of running on petrol, ethanol or a mixture of both fuels too.Paired to this flex fuel engine is an AC asynchronous electric motor capable of producing 72hp and 162nm torque. The motor alone is capable of powering the car at low speeds. However Toyota has no plans to bring the vehicle to India.
