By Tata Motors Unveiled the Altroz Racer at the 2023 auto expo. The Altroz Racer is the sportier version of the Altroz with more updated cosmetic and mechanical changes. Tata always showed interest to bring the performance variants of its models. It was seen with the Tata Indica and the recent model to get a performance variant was the Tiago NRG. We anticipated seeing the Tiago NRG back at the auto expo but Tata Motors gave the very interesting performance variant of its premium hatchback Altroz. It is built to rival the i20 N line.
The Altroz Racer is identified by the distinct color tone of the vehicle. It gets blacked-out roof and bonnet with twin white racing stripes. Over the side there is not much difference except the dual tone and at the rear the vehicle host a sporty spoiler along with shark fin antenna. The interior of the vehicle will get some cosmetic updates with updated sporty styling.
The exciting part of the vehicle is its performance. Tata is tuning the 1.2 litre engine to produce 118 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. The engine will be matted to a six speed manual or quick DCT gearbox. Tata is not just bringing the cosmetic updates. The Altroz Racer will be a tuned performance meachine.
