Tata Nexon Inspired Harrier Facelift Teased For The First Time

Tata Motors is gearing up to introduce the much-awaited Harrier facelift in India as the company released its first teaser of the new SUV, which reveals that the design could be inspired by the updated Nexon. The teaser video reveals the new full-length LED DRL and it gets a welcome function just like what we saw on the Nexon facelift last month. The front design is expected to get a major revamp as spy shots have confirmed that the updated Harrier gets vertically placed LED headlamps thus giving a new look for the SUV.

The front grille is also expected to get some changes while the bumper design will be all new but the overall shape of the SUV won’t be changed as it will require massive sheet metal changes which could increase cost. The changes to the side will be reserved for new alloy wheels while the rear gets new LED tail lamps along with a full-length connected LED DRL is also expected. Apart from this, Tata will make some changes to the bumper and we can expect the Harrier to come with new striking colour options like those on the new Nexon.

Like the front and rear, Tata Motors will bring an update to the Interior as the steering wheel will be a new four-spoke unit from the Nexon with an illuminated Tata logo in the middle. The infotainment system will be the new unit from Nexon with the latest software and the instrument cluster will be fully digital. The centre console gets a new gear lever inspired by Land Rover models. We can expect Tata Motors to add some new features to the Harrier. The engine will be the same 2.0 L unit from Fiat with 160 PS and 350 Nm, mated to manual and automatic gearbox options. The bookings for the Harrier facelift will begin from October 6 and launch could take place by the end of this month.
