By Tata Motors showcased lots of products at the inaugural Bharat Mobility Global Expo and the major highlight of the stall is the all-new Nexon CNG as all other products have been revealed at the Auto Expo. The introduction of the CNG version of the Nexon expands the overall lineup of the compact SUV as it is available in petrol, diesel and electric, which gives lots of different options for the customer. The Nexon CNG follows the same footpath as other CNG products from Tata Motors with split-tank technology.
The twin-cylinder technology makes it very space-efficient compared to regular CNG cars as the company has already introduced it in multiple Tata products. The company hasn’t revealed exact specifications of the boot space but it could be similar to the regular Nexon. Another USP of the Nexon CNG is that it will be the first CNG model to come with a turbo petrol engine option. The gearbox options include a manual and an AMT gearbox, which makes it even more convenient for customers.
To differentiate the CNG version, Tata Motors is likely to offer some new colour options. In terms of the design theme, there is not much difference and the interior will be the same too. Like the Altroz CNG, Tata Motors is expected to offer the CNG version in middle and top-spec variants as they are expecting good volumes from the CNG version. Apart from the CNG version, Tata Motors also revealed the Dark Edition of the updated Nexon as it is one of the most popular variants of the compact SUV.
