Tata Motors Registered Domestic Sales of 47,859 Units In November 2020

Tata Motors Group continues to register excellent sales growth even through this tough period as the homegrown manufacturer sold 47,859 units in November 2020 compared to 38,057 units in the same month last year thus registering growth of 26 per cent. In the passenger vehicle department, Tata Motor is shining bright as the company sold 21,641 units this month compared to just 10,400 units in the same month last year.

The individual sales break up is yet to come out but the strong demand for models like Nexon, Tiago and Altroz helped the company to boost the sales growth. The Harrier is also doing extremely well thanks to the Camo edition, which is selling really well alongside the dark edition. The hard work Tata Motors have been putting in the last few years is giving them good return as people are accepting the products.

The year of year sales growth stands at 108 per cent but when we compare the last month performance, sales are slightly down in PV which is not a big concern as most of the manufacturers are struggling as COVID-19 pandemic is still making sales very tough. In the commercial vehicle department, sales have come down as the company sold 27,982 units this month compared to 30,588 units in the same month last year.

The company registered 9 per cent negative year-on-year growth and 2 per cent negative month-on-month growth. Tata Motors is planning to launch the much-awaited turbo petrol variant of Altroz along with an automatic gearbox as it is one of the options lacking on the premium hatchback and it is expected to under the i20. The much-awaited Gravitas won’t be launched this year as the company push the launch to early next year.
