Suzuki Rolls Out 5 Millionth Unit From Its Gurugram Plant

Suzuki has steadily become one of the top players in the premium segment with its Gixxer models and the Access is the leader in 125 cc scooter segment too. The company is registering good sales even through the tough times as the Japanese manufacturer rolls out 5 million units from its Gurugram plant, which is a Gixxer 250. Suzuki Motor Corporation is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and this milestone is a big achievement for the Indian division.

The BS6 version of Gixxer 250 was launched in May and the model has already reached dealerships. The quarter-litre performance bike is powered by 249 cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine with fuel injection producing 26.5 PS of power at 9,300 rpm and 22 Nm of torque at 7,300 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is not tuned for outright performance instead the engineers are focusing on everyday rideability.

Suzuki has given telescopic forks at the front and mono-shock at the rear while braking duties are taken care by a disc brake at the front and rear. The Gixxer SF 250 comes with 17-inch wheels while the front gets 110 section tyre and 150 section tyre at the rear. The design of Gixxer 250 make its stand out in Indian roads as the front and rear get LED lights along with aggressive fairing style is unique. Suzuki Gixxer 250 price starts at Rs. 1.76 lakh.
