By Mini has officially unveiled its latest addition to the electric vehicle market, the Mini Aceman EV. Positioned between the iconic Cooper and the versatile Countryman in Mini’s lineup, the Aceman promises to blend electrifying performance with distinctive Mini styling. Available initially in E and SE variants, the Aceman offers drivers a choice between two electrifying powertrains. The E variant boasts an 184-horsepower electric motor, propelling the hatch from 0 to 100 kph in just 7.9 seconds. Meanwhile, the SE variant packs a punch with 218 horsepower and accelerates even quicker, reaching 100 kph in just 7.1 seconds.
In terms of range, Mini aims to satisfy both urban commuters and long-distance travellers. The E variant offers an impressive 310 Km on a single charge, while the SE extends that range further to 405 Km. Additionally, the SE’s compatibility with 95-kW fast charging ensures quick top-ups, with the ability to go from 10 to 80 per cent battery capacity in just 30 minutes. Design-wise, the Aceman stays true to Mini’s iconic aesthetic while introducing fresh elements. The distinctive octagonal grille immediately identifies it as a Mini, while unique styling touches such as LED daytime running lights and Matrix rear taillights add a modern flair. Flat door handles and aerodynamically optimized features contribute to its sleek profile, while matte-black sills exude rugged elegance.
Inside the cabin, innovation meets comfort with a 9.5-inch OLED screen dominating the dashboard. Running on Mini OS 9, the system enables seamless integration of driving functions through voice commands. Essential switches for vital functions remain conveniently located beneath the screen, ensuring intuitive control. Mini offers a range of trims to suit diverse tastes, from the entry-level Essential to the performance-oriented JCW. Each trim level comes with its own set of distinctive features and customization options, allowing drivers to tailor their Aceman to their preferences.
