By Hyundai India officially launched the Tucson facelift at Rs. 22.30 lakh (All-India, Ex-Showroom Price) and the Korean manufacturer is currently leading the SUV segment in India. The Tucson facelift made its global debut at the 2018 New York International Auto Show and the India debut took place at the 2020 Auto Expo. Like all the recent facelift models of Hyundai, the company has made lots of changes for the exterior and interior to bring a fresh feel for the SUV.
The front gets new signature cascading grille of Hyundai along with redesigned Penta projector LED headlamps with LED DRL on the top. The designers have also changed the front bumper and the change to the side are limited to a new set of 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels while the rear comes with LED tail lamps and a new bumper. The interior gets lots more changes as Hyundai has changed the design of the dashboard and it is inline with other new Hyundai models.
The centre console get a new 8-inch touch screen infotainment system placed on the top of the dashboard and all-black leather upholstery gives a premium look. Hyundai has packed the Tucson with features like a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, key less entry, 10-way adjustable driver seat, dual-zone climate control, premium-infinity music system, rear AC vents, hands-free tailgate, blue link connected car system with remote access.
Hyundai Tucson comes with safety features like 6-airbags, ESC, TPMS, HAC, VSC and more. In India, Hyundai is offering two engine options with the Tucson. The 2.0 L petrol engine produces 152 PS of power at 6,200 rpm and 188 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The diesel engine is also a 2.0 L unit with 185 PS and 400 Nm. The petrol engine gets 6-speed AT while the diesel engine comes with a new 8-speed automatic gearbox along with four-wheel-drive system too. The updated Tucson comes in four colour options – Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Phantom Black and Starry Night.
