Skoda’s Tech Upgrade: Bigger Screens and Enhanced Features for Kushaq and Slavia

Skoda enthusiasts and prospective car buyers in India have a reason to rejoice as the popular Kushaq and Slavia models receive an upgrade, reinstating the larger 10-inch ‘Skoda Play’ touchscreen that was temporarily replaced with an 8-inch unit due to the semiconductor shortage in May 2022. This development enhances the in-car technology and connectivity experience for buyers, especially for the top-spec Style variants of both models. The return of the 10-inch touchscreen means that wireless connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a subwoofer, are now available on the Style variants of the Kushaq and Slavia.

Furthermore, users can once again enjoy Skoda Play apps for added convenience and entertainment. The larger touchscreen incorporates the latest software and user interface, but it does lack some features that were available on the bezel of the 8.0-inch unit, such as a rotary dial for volume adjustment and touch-based shortcut buttons. It’s worth noting that the 10-inch screen is not exclusive to the top-spec Style variants but will also be available on the Kushaq Monte Carlo and Slavia Matte Edition models. However, the mid-spec Ambition variants will continue to feature the 8.0-inch screen for both the Kushaq and Slavia. In addition to this update, Skoda has removed the dongle connectivity feature from the Ambition variants of both models.

Furthermore, Skoda has introduced additional enhancements to the Kushaq and Slavia Style, Monte Carlo, and Matte Edition variants. These upgrades include powered front seats and ambient footwell illumination, elevating the comfort and ambience within the vehicles. In an additional modification, the Kushaq now offers a single-tone, silver 17-inch alloy wheel design for the top-spec Style trim, replacing the dual-tone twin five-spoke gunmetal alloys. This aesthetic update adds a touch of sophistication to the Kushaq, with the new wheels resembling those featured on the Volkswagen Tiguan.

These updates come alongside pricing adjustments, with the Slavia now ranging from Rs 10.89 lakh to Rs 16.72 lakh for the 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI variants, respectively. Meanwhile, the Kushaq’s prices now fall between Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 18.41 lakh for the 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI variants, respectively. These enhancements and pricing options make the Skoda Kushaq and Slavia even more appealing to customers seeking advanced features, technology, and style in their vehicles.
