Skoda Re-Launched Superb In India At Rs. 54 Lakh

Skoda officially re-introduced the third-generation Superb in India at the starting price of Rs. 54 Lakh (Ex-Showroom). The Superb is the flagship model of Skoda in the Indian market and the company discontinued the model earlier last year after the implementation of BS6 Phase-II emission norms. The European maker needs to make significant changes to the engine which will impact pricing. This time the Superb comes to India via the CBU route as the company is planning to import just 100 units.

The Superb will be available only in the top-spec L&K variant and it will be available in two new colours – Rosso Brunello and Water World Green along with Magic Black which was already offered with the Superb. Some of the exterior highlights include Laurin and Klement inscriptions on the front fenders, L&K package, adaptive auto LED headlamps and LED fog lamps with cornering light function. The Superb rides on new 18-inch alloy wheels and the design theme of the wheel is different from the earlier version, which gives a different look for the sedan.

Some of the interior features include a Columbus infotainment system with Wired Smart Link, ventilated 12-way electrically adjustable front seats, a massage function for the driver’s seat, wireless charging, a Canton sound system with 11 speakers, 3-zone automatic climate control and a digital instrument cluster. The engine on the Superb is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 188 BHP of power at 4,200-6,000 rpm and 320 Nm at 1,450-4,200 rpm. The engine will be mated to a 7-speed DSG. Skoda will introduce the fourth-generation Superb later this year in India.
