Skoda Octavia Facelift Officially Revealed

After a lengthy teaser session, Skoda officially took wraps of the Octavia facelift. Like the earlier model, the Octavia is available in both sedan and station wagon body styles. The overall design theme of the Octavia has been retained as most of the changes have focused on the front and rear. The front gets a new grille along with updated headlamps which look much sharper than the earlier model and it features second-generation Matrix LED headlamps. The dual LED-DRLs get a boomerang shape design and those are integrated into the headlamps.

The lower part of the bumper gets a honeycomb structure and it gives a wider look from the front. On the side, there are not many changes except for the new alloy wheels. The rear gets redesigned LED tail lamps which look even sharper than the outgoing version and a new bumper. The interior gets a major revamp as the main highlight is the new 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is optional and now comes with Chat GPT. The company offers a 10-inch system as standard and the instrument cluster is also a 10-inch unit.

Skoda has updated the wireless charging box as it supports up to 15 W but the major upgrade is the new USB-C port as the output has been upgraded to 45W, which can make lots of difference on everyday usage. In global markets, Skoda offers lots of different engine options starting from 1.5 L turbocharged with 116 hp and up to 150 hp. The gearbox options include manual and automatic gearbox options. Finally, the vRS models get a proper 2.0 L turbocharged engine producing 265 hp and 350 Nm, mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox.
