Tata Nexon Again Scores 5-Star Rating In Global NCAP

Tata Nexon continues its safety legacy as the compact SUV scored a 5-star safety rating once again in Global NCAP crash testing. This is the second time, Nexon scored a 5-star safety rating as it was the first model to get it in 2018. The Nexon has achieved the second-highest Global NCAP score for adult and child occupant safety as the highest score went to Safari/Harrier and it is among the final models to be tested before Bharat NCAP. The new rating is valid for models produced as of August 8th 2023.

The Nexon scored 32.22 points out of 34 points for adult occupancy and 44.52 points out of 49 points for child occupancy protection. The protection offered to the driver’s and passenger’s head and neck was good during the front crash test while the chest showed adequate protection. The footwell area has been rated stable passenger’s tibias showed good protection. During the frontal crash test, the bodyshell was rated as stable and it is capable of withstanding further loadings. On the side impact test, the head, abdomen and pelvis showed good protection while the chest showed adequate protection.
