Renault Duster And Nissan Upcoming SUV Teased For The First Time

Renault and Nissan officially announced the development of four new SUV models and the company has released the teaser of the new model for the first time. The new SUVs will be based on the CMF-B platform of Renault and Nissan as it will be heavily localised to keep costs low as pricing is going to be key for the success. The upcoming SUV from Renault is expected to bring back the Duster name as it was one of the most popular SUVs in the country and even after discontinuing the model, the fan base is really strong.

The teaser reveals the front design theme of the SUVs but right now they are in concept form. Initial design previews look great as the India-spec Duster is expected to get a slightly different design theme compared to the global model as the front gets new LED headlamps with DRLs positioned above and the grille looks muscular as it is likely to be finished in black. The front bumper design is different as it gets faux skid plates, the fog lamps might be positioned vertically and the hood design is also unique.

When compared to Renault’s version, Nissan’s concept model looks premium and upmarket as the front gets full-length LED DRL and there is a secondary line in the middle as either it could be chrome or maybe a secondary LED DRL. The front bumper design is also different from the Renault’s model. Overall, the SUV from Nissan could be positioned as a premium model. The production model of the five-seater version will debut next year and the seven-seater model is expected to be introduced by 2026, pricing is expected to be aggressive.
