By Range Rover Velar Facelift bookings has been officially opened in India and the deliveries are expected to begin in September. The Velar is one of the most popular models of Land Rover in the Indian market and this is the second update for the Velar as it made its global debut in February, 2023 as the company didn’t took much time to introduce the new model here.
The exterior design theme of Velar remains the same except for minor changes which includes new Pixel LED headlamps along with a new bumper. The British manufacturer is also offering new alloy wheels and the rear gets updated LED tail lamps. The SUV gets slightly reprofiled bumper. The Range Rover Velar is available in two new leather colourways – Caraway and Deep Garnet. These are complemented by a curated choice of details, including new Moonlight Chrome on the steering wheel, centre console surrounds and air vents. Tactile Shadow Grey Ash wood veneer trim finishers underline its elegance. Two new colour options join the exterior palette: Metallic Varesine Blue and Premium Metallic Zadar Grey.
Land Rover has made lots of changes to the interior of Velar as the dashboard gets a clean design with minimal buttons as most of them are controlled via the infotainment system. The main highlight is the new 11.4 inch infotainment system with wirless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Electronic Air Suspension provides serene comfort, maintaining composure on rougher roads while smoothing out bumps with Adaptive Dynamics, an advanced chassis system that continuously varies the damping forces at each wheel.
The company has also replaced rotary button for the terrain management system as it can be controlled via the infotainment system. Some of the modes include Eco, Comfort, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Ruts, Sand, Dynamic and Automatic mode. Range Rover Velar is powered by 2.0 L petrol engine with 250 hp and 2.0 diesel with 204 hp. The diesel engine gets a mild-hybrid system also.
