MG Hector Plus Spotted During Promotional Video Shoot In UK

MG is planning to launch the new Hector Plus in India soon as the model has been spotted in the UK during a promotional video shoot. The videos of Hector was also shot in the United Kingdom because MG brands home land is that even though it is currently owned by SAIC from China. The Hector Plus made its India debut at the 2020 Auto Expo and the company has made some design tweaks to make the model slightly different from the 5-seater model.

The Hector Plus spotted is finished in Starry Blue colour and the model certainly looks really good in this colour. The front gets updated grille finished in black with less chrome while the side gets same alloy wheels as Hector at least the company should have changed it to give a new look but it might have increased cost. The rear changes are limited to updated LED tail lamps along with a new bumper. We can expect MG to offer some new colour options too.

The interior of Hector Plus is shared with the regular model but the company has made some changes like a new colour theme along with leather seats. According to media reports, MG is likely to offer a 6-seat option instead of 7-seats as more people prefer it because of its comfort. The Hector Plus arch-rival Toyota Innova Crysta is offered with a 7-seater option too. MG might add some new features to the Hector Plus to make it more attractive.

MG increased the length of Hector Plus by 65 mm but the wheelbase remains the same. The boot space will reduce compared to 5-seater model. The Hector Plus will be available with both petrol and diesel engines. The 1.5 L petrol engine puts out 143 hp and 250 Nm, it also comes with a hybrid option too. The 2.0 L diesel engine from FCA produces 174 hp and 350 Nm. The Hector Plus is expected to be priced at Rs. 22 lakh.
