MG Hector Plus Spied Again, Launch Next Month

MG Hector Plus made its India debut at the 2020 Auto Expo. The SUV has been spotted testing for the first time since the nation-wide lockdown. According to reports, the Hector Plus is expected to be launched in India next month as the British manufacturer is gearing to introduce its first electric SUV in other states like Kerala too.

The Hector Plus is basically the 7-seater version of the Hector, which was launched last year and the model has been a huge success for the company. The dimensions of both models are almost the same except for the length as the Plus is 40 mm longer than the regular Hector and the boot space will be reduced to accommodate the third row.

But the wheelbase is the same, so we are not expecting space to improve compared to regular Hector. MG will offer the Hector Plus in 6 and 7-seat options, the former will be more comfortable. The design tweaks for the Plus model include new radiator grille along with redesigned headlamps and the bumper design is also new.

The interior design is the same for both models but the Plus model comes with the dual-tone brown and black theme. We can expect MG to update the infotainment system of Hector Plus with new software to improve user experience. The Hector Plus is likely to be powered by the same 1.5 L turbo petrol, naturally aspirated petrol and 2.0 L diesel engine.
