By Ford officially launched the updated BS6 Endeavour in February and the full-SUV is priced between Rs. 29.55 lakh to Rs. 33.25 lakh (Ex-Showroom). The company announced during the launch that pricing will be introductory and the price will be increased soon. But the nationwide lockdown from March has affected sales badly.
Most of the dealerships of Ford across the country has lots of BS6 Endeavour stock, which is why the company decided to extend the introductory price by three months. This will be good news for potential customers as the current pricing of the SUV is really attractive. The American manufacturer has 420 touchpoints across the country and all of them are now operational now.
The BS6 Endeavour is powered by a new 2.0 L turbo diesel engine, which was introduced with the facelift model internationally and this engine is internally called Panther. The diesel engine gets a single turbo and it produces 170 PS of 3,500 rpm and 420 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm -2,500 rpm. This engine will be mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox.
The automatic gearbox on the new Endeavour is so much advanced as it comes with real-time adaptive algorithms and progressive range selection. To improve performance, the system can skip gears and during off-roading conditions, it can lock gear for better traction. Soon we will review the BS6 Endeavour.
