Maruti Suzuki WagonR and Baleno Recalled In India

Maruti Suzuki officially announced a recall for the WagonR and Baleno. This recall comes in response to a potential defect identified in the fuel pump motor component. The company has taken proactive measures to ensure the safety and satisfaction of its customers. The recall affects a total of 11,851 units of the Baleno and 4,190 units of the WagonR, all manufactured between July 30, 2019, and November 1, 2019. Maruti Suzuki has pinpointed a flaw in the fuel pump motor component, which could potentially result in engine stalling or starting issues.

While such occurrences are rare, Maruti Suzuki has opted for a recall as a precautionary step to address any possible concerns regarding vehicle performance and safety. Owners of the affected vehicles need not worry, as Maruti Suzuki has assured that the faulty component will be replaced free of charge. Authorized Maruti Suzuki dealer workshops will reach out to the respective owners to facilitate the replacement process efficiently. This proactive approach reflects Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to prioritizing customer safety and satisfaction.

To determine if their vehicle is subject to the recall, customers can conveniently check by entering the chassis number on Maruti Suzuki’s official website. This provides a straightforward way for owners to verify if their vehicle requires attention and ensures a smooth recall process. The company is working on an update for the WagonR as the test mule was spotted earlier but the changes coming to the hatchback are minor like updated tail lamps along with a new bumper and we can expect some new colour options too.
