By Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the Baleno Based cross over SUV Maruti Suzuki Fronx at the 2023 autoexpo. The vehicle was a very anticipated model from the brand that was seen testing many times in the country. However now Maruti has taken the cloths off the vehicle. The Fronx looks really beautiful and the vehicle gets more or less similar styling and design of the latest generation Suzuki S Cross that is on sale abroad. The vehicles design also reminds other cars. But all over Maruti has made the vehicle quite impressive on the first look.
The front fascia of the vehicle gets huge similarities with the latest generation Suzuki S Cross model with the grille. The front fascia looks very bold with the big grille and it adds up the SUV characteristics. The LED DRL is placed at the top and both the DRLs are connected to the grille via a brushed silver element that mimic like a moustache of the vehicle. However the headlight is placed in a triangular shaped vent which largely reminds the Tata Harrier. A black cladding at the lower bumper run across the vehicle giving it more SUV stance. Over the side the vehicles proposition is mixed of a hatchback and a crossover. Over the rear the vehicle features very sporty and futuristic design it gets sleeker taillights that are connected via a LED light bar run across the boot lid. The rear bumper gets very complicated design language with more bulges and lines. The rear side features a roof spoiler.
The interior of the vehicle is evolved from the other Maruti Suzuki models. The interior gets a dual tone theme and most of the controls and design layout are carried over. It gets a 9 inch floating touch screen display, wireless charger, headsup display, 360 degree camera and connected car tech. Maruti Suzuki assure the safety as the vehicle is built on the Balenos HEARTECT platform. It gets safety tech like hill hold assist, ESP and 6 airbags.
The vehicle gets 2 engine options. It is powered by either a 1.0 litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.2 K Series petrol engine. The 1.0 litre turbo booster engine is a 3 cylinder engine that was seen in the Baleno RS . It produces 110 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. Whereas the 1.2 K series Na petrol engine is the same engine that is already seen in the Baleno and Swift. The engine produces 88 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. The 6 is mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. However the vehicle will be available only through the Nexa dealership. And the booking of the vehicle will be starting from today.
