Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is one of the most popular entry-level hatchbacks in the country. Now the company has reduced the price of selected variants to make it even more accessible for customers. The Alto K10 is available in four variants – Std, LXi, VXi, and VXi+. The company is offering the automatic option on the VXi and VXi+ variants. Now the Indo-Japanese manufacturer reduced the price of automatic variants by Rs. 5000 as the VXi AGS is priced at Rs. 5.56 lakh and Rs. 5.85 lakh for the VXi+ AGS.
The company hasn’t reduced the price of any other variants. The Alto K10 is powered by a 998 cc, 3 Cylinders Inline, 4 Cylinder engine producing 66 bhp of power at 5,500 rpm and 89 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. This engine is mated to 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. The manual variant of the Alto K10 returns 24.39 kmpl while the automatic variant gives slightly better mileage at 24.9 kmpl. The earlier Alto K10 is already known for its impressive mileage and the new model continues to better it.
The Alto K10 is offered with seven colour options – Pearl Midnight Black, Metallic Granite Grey, Metallic Speedy Blue, Premium Earth Gold, Metallic Sizzling Red, Metallic Silky Silver and Solid White. The new model comes with a touchscreen infotainment system which gives a premium feel to the cabin even though most of the materials are hard plastics. Maruti Suzuki is focusing on safety as the Alto K10 comes with dual airbags, and ABS with EBD as part of the standard features. Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 compete against the Renault Kwid.
