In a testament to its unwavering dominance in the Indian passenger vehicle segment, the company has accomplished this feat in a record time of 40 years and 4 months. The journey of Maruti Suzuki in India began in December 1983, with the launch of the iconic M800. Since then, the company has been instrumental in revolutionizing the automotive landscape of the country.

With manufacturing facilities primarily based in Haryana, Maruti Suzuki has produced a staggering 2.68 crore cars, showcasing its relentless commitment to excellence and innovation. Additionally, more than 32 lakh vehicles have been rolled out from the Suzuki Motor Gujarat facility, further solidifying Maruti Suzuki’s position as an industry leader. A plethora of models, including the Alto 800, Alto K10, Swift, WagonR, Dzire, Omni, Baleno, Eeco, Brezza, and Ertiga, constitute the rich portfolio of cars manufactured by Maruti Suzuki in India. Among these, the iconic M800 alone accounts for 29 lakh units, reflecting its enduring popularity and timeless appeal.
