By Toyota Innova Hycross is one of the most popular MPVs currently in the market and the company had to stop taking the bookings for the top-end variants in April last year because of the over-whelming demand. Even though production has not yet halted the number of units dispatched was limited which meant that the waiting period was really long. Now the Japanese manufacturer has re-opened bookings for the top-end ZX and ZX (O) variants as these were available only in the hybrid engine option as non-hybrid are limited to just entry-level models.
The company has also increased the price of Innova Hycross across variants but this applies to just hybrid variants as the company has not hiked the price of non-hybrid variants. The Innova Hycross Hybrid price starts from Rs 25.97 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 30.98 lakh for the top-end ZX (O). When compared to the earlier models, the price hike is between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 30,000. The non-hybrid variant of the Innova Hycross price starts from Rs. 19.77 lakh and the top-end variant comes at Rs. 19.82 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
Toyota is planning to expand the variant lineup of the non-hybrid variant of the Innova Hycross. The new variant is going to be positioned above the entry-level model and comes with a lot more features compared to the current model. The GX (O) is available in either 7 or 8-seater options while the major new feature of the MPV is the introduction of a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system as it gets wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Innova Hycross GX (O) also gets soft-touch materials on the dashboard and it is finished in a dual-tone shade.
