By Mahindra is planning to launch the much-awaited XUV300 facelift model in India soon. The company is finishing up the final testing of the XUV300 and the pre-launch preparations are expected to commence soon. Some reports indicate that the XUV300 facelift production might commence soon as the first batch could reach dealerships immediately after the launch. This is going to be the second major update for the XUV300.
The XUV300 facelift was expected to be launched last year but the company decided to push the later to this year as they want to clear the backlogs. The design theme of the XUV300 facelift model will take heavy inspiration from the BE series of vehicles that Mahindra is developing. The front and rear will be completely new as the headlamps will be full LED units while the rear might get connected LED tail lamps too.
But the overall shape will be the same to keep costs under control. The interior of the XUV300 facelift will be similar to the updated XUV400 as the dashboard will be tweaked to accommodate the new 10.25-inch infotainment system and the current instrument cluster will be replaced by a new fully digital 10.25-inch unit. The engines will be the same 1.2 L NA petrol, 1.2 L turbo petrol, and 1.5 L diesel engine with manual and automatic gearbox options.
