By Kia officially launched the Seltos facelift in July 2023 and since then the response to the updated model has been excellent. Now the Korean manufacturer has announced that the bookings for the Seltos facelift crossed the 1 lakh milestone as the SUV achieved it within one year of the launch. The average monthly bookings for the Seltos is 13,500, while the company received more than 13,000 bookings on the first day. Within one month, the bookings for the updated model crossed 31,000 which is impressive.
When we analysed the bookings, more than 80 per cent of the customers chose the top-end HTK+ while 40 per cent of customers opted for the variant with ADAS. Another interesting thing is that more than 80 per cent of the customers prefer variants with panoramic sunroof, even though it is one of the features which is least used by Indians as our climate conditions are not suited for it. Also, the company has mentioned earlier that the new Pewter Olive is extremely popular among customers as earlier show that more than 19 per cent of customers choose it.
Kia has taken a step forward by replacing the 1.4 L turbo petrol engine with a new 1.5 L unit, generating 160 PS and 253 Nm of torque. Furthermore, the Seltos offers 1.5 L diesel and petrol engines, available with manual and automatic transmission options. The Korean manufacturer has recently introduced the diesel manual variant of Seltos and it is the most efficient model in the portfolio. The design changes compared to the earlier model are not much as the front and rear get major changes.
