Kia To Increase Price By 3 Per Cent From April 1, 2024

Kia India officially announced that the company is going to increase price by 3 per cent and it comes to effective from April 1, 2024. This is the first price hike from the Korean manufacturer in 2024 as they didn’t increase the price during January like most of the other manufacturers. The price hike is for models like Carens, Sonet and Seltos as it doesn’t include the EV6. Kia recently launched the updated Seltos and Sonet in the Indian market as both these models have been extremely popular among customers, which results in a long waiting period.

The bookings for the Seltos facelift have already crossed the 1 lakh milestone as the SUV achieved it within one year of the launch. The average monthly bookings for the Seltos is 13,500, while the company received more than 13,000 bookings on the first day. Within one month, the bookings for the updated model crossed 31,000 which is impressive. Kia is offering two petrol and one diesel engine option with the Seltos along with manual and automatic gearbox options along with a long variant lineup.

We are expecting Kia to expand the lineup with new models like the next-generation Carnival in the Indian market. Commenting on the latest price hike, Hardeep Singh Brar, National Head – Sales and Marketing of Kia India, said, “Due to the continuous increase in commodity prices, adverse exchange rate and rising input cost, we are compelled to implement a partial price hike. The company is absorbing a significant portion of the increase, allowing customers to continue driving their favourite Kia cars without a major dent in their pockets”.
