BMW Vision Neue Klasse X Concept Officially Revealed

BMW officially revealed the new Vision Neue Klasse X Concept, which is the crossover version of the Vision Neue Klasse sedan concept unveiled last year. Following the footsteps of its sedan counterpart, the Vision Neue Klasse X embodies simplicity in its design while introducing a new era of electric Sport Activity Vehicles (SAVs) from BMW. One of the most striking features of the Vision Neue Klasse X is its distinct kidney grille, standing tall as a trademark of BMW’s future electric SAVs. The sleek body contours give a sense of modernity, with an impressively airy greenhouse that showcases BMW’s innovative design approach. The A and B-pillars tapered on their exterior edges, contribute to this spacious interior while maintaining structural integrity.

Inside, the Vision Neue Klasse X adopts a minimalist approach, bidding farewell to the traditional iDrive system in favour of intuitive touch controls and steering wheel-mounted functions. The cockpit is virtually button-free, emphasizing a seamless and connected driving experience. The Verdana textile upholstery, derived from plant and mineral-based materials, epitomizes BMW’s commitment to sustainability, complemented by injection-moulded interior components made from recycled maritime plastics.

While retaining elements of a concept car, the Vision Neue Klasse X give a production-ready aura, with factory-ready features like door handles and body stampings. BMW’s promise of the first Neue Klasse crossover entering production by 2025. Under the hood, the Vision Neue Klasse X comes with BMW’s sixth-generation eDrive propulsion technology, promising enhanced performance and efficiency. With new lithium-ion batteries offering 20 per cent higher energy density and 800-volt architecture for rapid charging.
