Kia Sonet Facelift Official Fuel Efficiency Revealed

Kia Sonet Facelift Official Fuel Efficiency Revealed

Kia officially revealed the Sonet facelift model last month and the price will be announced later this month. Now the Korean manufacturer has released the official fuel efficiency figures of the Sonet facelift except for the diesel manual model as it is still under certification. When we look at the mileage compared to the pre-facelift models, the fuel efficiency has improved slightly which is good considering that customers in this segment also focus on mileage. Kia offers the Sonet in both diesel and petrol options.

The most efficient model among the Sonet is the diesel iMT version, which returns 22.3 kmpl and the iMT version was not available on the earlier Sonet. The next efficient variant is the 1.0 L DCT as it returns 19.2 Kmpl and when compared to the earlier model, mileage has increased by 0.9 Kmpl. The 1.2 L petrol engine variant with manual gearbox returns 18.83 kmpl and the mileage has increased by 0.43 Kmpl. The 1.0 L turbo petrol variant with iMT gearbox returns 18.7 Kmpl and the mileage has increased by 0.5 Kmpl.

The diesel was expected to return more mileage but the 1.5 L diesel engine with a 6-speed torque convertor returns 18.6 Kmpl, which is down by 0.4 Kmpl compared to the outgoing model. The most efficient model in the Sonet facelift is surely going to be the diesel manual variant and we can expect the official number to be revealed in the coming days. Along with this, Kia is also expected to share details of the Bharat NCAP. We have just driven the Kia Sonet facelift in Bhopal and our review will be coming soon.
