Hyundai Tucson Facelift Revealed With Major Interior Update

Hyundai has officially unveiled the 2024 Tucson facelift for the European market. The SUV showcases a blend of exterior styling tweaks and a completely revamped interior design, setting the stage for its European launch in early 2024, with a global release anticipated by the end of the same year. Remaining faithful to the brand’s “Parametric Dynamics” design language, the exterior enhancements are striking. The front fascia boasts a redesigned grille with sharper detailing, complemented by concealed parametric jewel DRLs. The bumper has received a stylish makeover and now features an integrated faux skid plate, contributing to a more robust and contemporary appearance.

While the side profile retains its familiar contours, the introduction of new alloy wheels, sporting an updated diamond-cut design, injects a touch of sophistication into the overall aesthetic. Although the rear profile remains undisclosed, Hyundai assures enthusiasts that the integrated skid plate in the bumper is wider than its predecessor, promising an enhanced rear visual appeal. The most substantial transformations, however, occur within the cabin of the Tucson facelift. The dashboard undergoes a complete overhaul, embracing horizontal lines for a modern and spacious feel. The centrepiece is a panoramic curved display housing a 12.3-inch digital cluster and a matching 12.3-inch infotainment system.

A new 3-spoke steering wheel, featuring a round horn pad, adds a sporty and retro touch to the driving experience. Hyundai opts for a clean look by relocating the gear select lever to the steering wheel column, a design reminiscent of the Ioniq 5. This adjustment not only enhances aesthetics but also creates space for a wireless smartphone charger and two cup holders in the centre console. The updated dashboard integrates repositioned AC vents seamlessly, creating a cohesive and visually appealing interior. Furthermore, Hyundai introduced a sleeker switchgear design, embracing the contemporary trend of touch-sensitive buttons for HVAC controls. However, the engine options are anticipated to remain consistent with the previous model, ensuring a balance of familiarity and innovation in the 2024 Tucson facelift.
