Citroen C3 Aircross Makes Global Debut In India

Citroen C3 Aircross made its global debut in India as it is the third product to be introduced in the C3 family. The French manufacturer kept the promise of introducing one new model every six months. The new C3 Aircross is based on the same platform as C3 which is CMP and the design theme is inspired by other Citroen models as the front gets a signature grille along with headlamps, which are similar to the C3 hatchback but the bumper is completely different.

The overall dimensions make it a competitor of Creta as the C3 Aircross measure 4.3 metres in length and 2671 mm of wheelbase, which is the best in its segment. The SUV also gets 200 mm of ground clearance and the company has given 17-inch alloy wheels. The rear gets C-shaped LED tail lamps and a faux skid plate. The boot space is really good as the 7-seater version gets 511 litres and 444 litres on the 5-seater variant.

The interior design is inspired by the C3 with a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the middle and a fully digital instrument cluster. The seven-seater version gets roof-mounted AC vents and 50:50 split seats for the third row. The features lineup is not yet revealed but it won’t be par with the competition. The C3 Aircross is powered by a 1.2 L turbo petrol engine with 110 PS and 190 Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The launch is expected to take place in the second half of this year.
