Positioned just below its sibling, the Ather 450X, which starts at Rs 1.38 lakh, the 450S offers a balance of affordability and performance.
Under the sleek exterior of the Ather 450S resides a 2.9kWh battery paired with a robust 5.4kW motor, delivering an impressive top speed of 90 kmph and an estimated range of 115 kilometres. While charging times are claimed to be around eight hours and 36 minutes, the 450S compensates with a host of modern features. The new DeepView display takes centre stage, complemented by smartphone connectivity, LED lighting, and more. In terms of ride and handling, the Ather 450S doesn’t disappoint. Its hardware boasts telescopic front forks and a monoshock suspension system, ensuring a smooth and controlled ride. Braking is taken care of by a single disc at both the front and rear, enhanced with combined and regenerative braking as standard. The scooter confidently rolls on 12-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 90/90 front and 100/80 rear section tubeless tires, providing stability and grip.
