By Hyundai officially launched the i20 facelift in India at the starting price of Rs. 6.99 lakh (Ex-Showroom). The facelift version of the i20 made its global debut some time ago. Still, the Indian version gets even fewer changes as most of them are concentrated on the front as the company has given a new signature grille wider than the earlier model and the design of the headlamps is the same. The company has replaced the projector units with full LEDs, providing even better visibility at night as International models already come with LED lights.
The changes to the side include new 16-inch alloy wheels as the design is new and everything else is similar to the current model. The rear gets LED tail lamps but they are still not connected like the global version. Hyundai has also made subtle changes to the front and rear bumper too. The i20 facelift model is available in Amazon Grey (New), Atlas White, Titan Gray, Typhoon Silver, Starry Night, Fiery Red, Atlas White + Black Roof, and Fiery Red + Black Roof.
The interior is carried over from the current i20 except for this time the company offers a dual-tone colour theme as the infotainment system gets new software like most of the recent Hyundai models while the instrument cluster is also the same. Safety is paramount in the new Hyundai i20, with 26 Standard safety features including 6 Airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Antilock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brake Distribution (BD), to name just a few. Under the hood, the new Hyundai i20 boasts a 1.2l Kappa petrol engine with Manual Transmission and Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). It now features the Idle Stop & Go (ISG) feature, which in addition to enhanced convenience, significantly boosts fuel efficiency and reduces environmental impact.
