All New Renault Duster To Come In 5 and 7 seater Configuration

Renault Duster was a very significant model of Renault in India. The Duster was launched in 2013 and it was the vehicle that started the mid-size SUV segment. The Duster was known for its huge road presence and muscle-up body styling. However, the vehicle didn’t get any major updates in its lifetime and was discontinued in the market in the year 2020. However the french Manufacturer Renault is developing of a new Duster for India and other global markets. The all-new Duster is likely to be offered in the country in both 5 and 7-seater configurations. The vehicle is under the planning to manufacture locally and launch probably by the financial year 2024-25.

The new Duster will be the third generation model and it will be built on the CMF-B modular platform. The CMF-B Modular platform will be tuned and heavily localised for Indian spec. This platform underpins many models of Renault and Nissan. This platform is also capable to achieve electrification and the electrified platform is called CMF-B EV architecture. This will enable the brand to soon bring the electric models based on this platform to India. The new Duster is said to be a huge vehicle with more practical space inside. The vehicle is likely to be longer in size to accommodate 3 rows. The Duster will rival the likes of Creta, Seltos, Hector, Harrier, and the seven-seater models in the country such as the Safari, Hector plus and Alcazar.

Soon after the launch of the new Duster, its equivalent Nissan Terrano also is expected to launch in the market. However, the launch of the vehicle will take time because at first, the platform needs to be localised. The brand also has plans to bring other SUVs to India and some of them are seeing testing in the country. The brand will also soon step into electric mobility with the Kwid electric which is seen testing in the country.
