2024 Renault Captur Officially Revealed

Renault officially revealed the facelift version of the Captur for the European market. The Captur boasts striking LED daytime running lights and a revamped front fascia, signalling a departure from conventional norms with its restyled diamond logo. One notable update is the reconfiguration of the rear, retaining the iconic “C” shaped taillights but introducing new graphics and a revamped corporate badge while bidding adieu to the outdated faux exhaust tips. This departure from previous design elements marks a promising shift towards more contemporary aesthetics.

The interior receives a tech-savvy upgrade, featuring a larger 10.4-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. In a nod to sustainability, Renault has opted for eco-friendly materials, replacing leather with recycled upholstery derived from renewable sources like hemp, and eliminating chrome accents. Under the hood, the 2024 Captur offers an array of powertrain options to suit varying preferences. From the entry-level three-cylinder 1.0-litre turbocharged gasoline engine delivering 90 hp to the robust 1.3-litre turbo unit boasting up to 160 hp, consumers can tailor their driving experience to match their desired performance level.

Additionally, a hybrid variant is available, featuring a combination of a 1.6-litre gasoline engine and an electric motor for enhanced efficiency and reduced emissions. Notably absent from the lineup is a diesel engine, reflecting the industry-wide trend of phasing out oil-burning options in favour of more sustainable alternatives. However, Renault offers an LPG variant for eco-conscious drivers seeking extended range without compromising on performance. The LPG variant uses a 1.0 L petrol engine with 100 hp and with both tanks full, the Captur offers more than 1100 Km range.
