New KTM 390 Duke Launched In India At Rs. 3.11 Lakh

KTM officially launched the 390 Duke in India at Rs. 3.11 lakh (Ex-Showroom), which is Rs. 13,000 more than the outgoing version but considering the updates for the new model, the price hike is minimal. The bookings for the new 390 Duke are officially open and the token amount is Rs. 4,499, as customers can book the new 390 Duke either at the dealership or via the official website. From a revamped design to an enhanced chassis, a potent engine, advanced electronics, and more, the MY2024 Duke 390 promises an exhilarating ride like never before.

KTM’s pursuit of peak performance has led to a significant upgrade. The 399cc engine in the new model delivers a surge in power compared to its predecessor’s 373cc unit. Generating 44 bhp of power and 39 Nm of torque, this engine outshines the previous 42.9 bhp and 37 Nm. The increased displacement translates to improved in-gear performance, a feature complemented by the inclusion of a slipper clutch, a bi-directional quick shifter, and a seamless 6-speed gearbox. While these additions were present in the earlier 390 Duke, the 2024 version shines with fresh electronic enhancements. Launch control and three ride modes (Rain, Street, and Track) elevate the riding experience to new heights.

The 2024 Duke 390 boasts an upgraded 5” fully digital instrument cluster that now supports smartphone connectivity. This advancement empowers riders to engage with ride modes and access turn-by-turn navigation, notification alerts, music control, and more, all through a sleek display. Aesthetically, the 2024 KTM Duke 390 impresses with its refined design. The LED headlight design might spark varied opinions, but enhancements to the fuel tank, tank shrouds, seats, and rear subframe amplify its appeal, projecting a more substantial size. A distinct banana-shaped rear swingarm complements the sleek exhaust can, while the seating position strikes a balance between everyday comfort and sporty stance. A new trellis frame, fully adjustable front USD telescopic forks from WP, and dual disc brakes underline the bike’s performance prowess. Safety features include dual-channel ABS, cornering ABS, and Supermoto ABS.

With a kerb weight of 165 kg (excluding fuel), the new Duke 390 boasts impressive agility. KTM also offers a range of Powerparts accessories to customize the bike. While some tweaks may be introduced for the Indian model, the core attributes are expected to remain intact. As for the pricing, a slight increase from the current model is anticipated. Enthusiasts can expect the India launch in the coming weeks, making the countdown to an unmatched biking experience all the more thrilling.
