The updated model made its global debut earlier this year and the company has made lots of changes to improve the performance. The bookings for Hayabusa is officially open and interested customers can book by paying a token amount of Rs. 1 lakh.
The Hayabusa is available in three colour options – Glass Sparkle Black/Candy Burnt Gold, Metallic Mat Sword Silver/Candy Daring Red, and Pearl Brilliant White/Metallic Mat Stellar Blue. Suzuki is expected to start deliveries by the middle of next month. For the first time, Hayabusa comes with lots of electronic gadgets including traction control, ride by wire, multiple riding modes, bi-direction quick control system, launch control, anti-lift control and more.
Suzuki continues to use the same 1340 cc in-line 6-cylinder engine producing 187 bhp at 9,700 rpm, which is slightly lower than the earlier model and 150 Nm at 7,000 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Hayabusa comes with a 6-axis IMU unit and cornering ABS for extra protection. One of the major focus for updates is improving aerodynamics, which resulted in better performance and increased top speed.
The Suzuki Hayabusa has been the most preferred choice amongst sportbike enthusiasts around the world for over two decades now in the class it created. The new-generation Hayabusa was developed not only to achieve an even higher overall balance of ultimate performance and comply with the BS6 emissions standards, but also to capture the hearts of both devoted followers and all who lay eyes on the stunning beauty and sharper, tauter form of its bold new design, said Mr Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, SMIP
