2021 Mercedes Benz GLC Launched In India, Price Starts At Rs. 57.40 Lakh

Mercedes Benz officially launched the 2021 GLC in India. The German manufacturer already introduced the facelift model of GLC a couple of years ago and it was the first three-pointed model in India to come with ‘Mercedes Me’ connected car tech. The company has added few more features to Mercedes Me as it gets Amazon Alexa and Google Home integration along with remote start/stop and geo-fencing to further improve security.

Another big feature introduction on the new GLC is the fully-digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster replacing the analogue cluster. The new cluster comes with three different customising options – Classic, Progressive and Sport. Mercedes has also made the massaging front seats as part of the standard package as earlier it was an option and the GLC is also the first model in Mercedes lineup to come with this feature as standard.

Along with massaging front seats, the GLC gets 360-degree camera, which will really help the driver to park the car easily. Mercedes also introduced two new colour options – Brilliant Blue and High Tech Silver. Apart from these changes, the exterior and interior design of the GLC remains the same. The GLC is basically the SUV version of C Class and it is one of the most popular models in Mercedes Benz India’s SUV lineup.

The GLC is available in two engine options as the 2.0 L turbo petrol engine produces 197 hp of power and the 2.0 L turbo diesel engine puts out 194 hp. Both these engines are mated to 9-speed automatic gearbox and the company offers 4-Matic all-wheel-drive system only with diesel. The price of both variants has gone up by around 1.56 lakh and 2.02 lakh respectively. The GLC 200 is priced at Rs. 57.40 lakh and Rs. 63.15 lakh for the GLC 220d.
