By Jawa and Yezdi, two iconic names in the world of motorcycles, have made a triumphant return with the launch of the 2023 Jawa 42 and Yezdi Roadster in India. The new offerings not only enrich the classic motorcycle lineup but also come with attractive price points, ensuring a wider range of options for enthusiasts. The Jawa 42 Dual Tone is making its debut with a price tag of Rs 1,98,142, while the Yezdi Roadster is set to captivate riders with a price of Rs 2,08,829. Notably, these new models will join the existing lineup, providing customers with even more choices.
In a pleasant surprise, the standard Jawa 42 sees a price reduction of Rs 6,000, now starting at Rs 1,89,142. It’s a move that further enhances the affordability and accessibility of these classic motorcycles. The 2023 Jawa 42 Dual Tone takes style to the next level with its dual-tone color schemes, including Cosmic Rock, Infinity Black, Starship Blue, and Celestial Copper. It features a host of design upgrades, such as clear-lens turn indicators, shorter fenders, a redesigned fuel tank, and eye-catching diamond-cut alloy wheels. The engine and exhaust components showcase a new raven texture finish, complemented by a redesigned seat for added comfort.
Both the Jawa 42 and Yezdi Roadster receive handlebar-mounted mirrors and handlebar grips, enhancing their overall aesthetics. The Yezdi Roadster, in particular, undergoes substantial changes in ergonomics, featuring a taller handlebar and forward-set footpegs, promoting a more relaxed riding posture. Adding to the visual appeal, the Yezdi Roadster boasts new color options, including Rush Hour Red, Forest Green, Lunar White, and Shadow Grey (single-tone). While the exteriors receive significant updates, the heart of these classic machines remains unchanged. The Jawa 42 retains its OBD-2 compliant 294.7cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, producing 27.3PS and 26.8Nm, while the Yezdi Roadster is powered by a similar OBD-2 compliant 334cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, generating 29.5PS and 28.9Nm.
