Upcoming Bikes Launches At India Bike Week 2023

India Bike Week is an annual biking event which takes place in Vagator, Goa and this is the tenth edition of the biking festival. The tenth edition is going to be the biggest IBW yet and lots of manufacturers are going to be part of this event with some exclusive launches taking place. In this article, we take a look at the upcoming bike launches at India Bike Week 2023.

  1. Aprilia RS 457

Aprilia will finally introduce the RS 457 to the Indian Biking community at the IBW as the model is one of the most anticipated launches of this year. The RS 457 made its global debut earlier this year and it will be manufactured in India, which will make the model more affordable. The Rs 457 is powered by a four-valve per cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine which produces 48 hp of power and this engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Kawasaki has 41 mm USD forks at the front with 120 mm travel and pre-load adjustable mono-shock at the rear with 130 mm of travel. The braking duties are taken care of by 320 mm disc at the front and 220 mm disc at the rear.

2. Kawasaki W175

Kawasaki will officially introduce the updated W175 at this year’s IBW as the company has already released a new teaser. The W175 is the most affordable Kawasaki in the Indian market and the changes to a newer version are minor as the spoke wheels will be replaced by alloy wheels. Apart from this, the Japanese manufacturer will likely add some new colour options. The engine will be the same 177 cc single-cylinder engine with 12.8 hp of power and 13.2 Nm of torque. The price of the updated W175 could be slightly higher than the current model.

3. Kawasaki Eliminator

The Eliminator name is finally making a comeback in the Indian motorcycle segment after a long wait as the new model is already available in International markets and it will be a neo-retro cruiser. The 451 cc liquid-cooled engine produces 45 hp of power and 42.6 Nm of torque, this engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The cruiser gets 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The braking duties are taken care of by 310 mm disc at the front and 210 mm disc at the rear. Kawasaki is bringing the Eliminator via the CBU route and the price will be on the expensive end.

4. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

Kawasaki is finally introducing the much-awaited updated Ninja ZX-6R in the Indian market as the model was expected to be launched some time ago but it got delayed. The updated ZX-6R is already on sale in International markets and it gets minor cosmetic changes as the fairing got an update along with some design tweaks for the headlamps. The ZX-6R is powered by a 636 cc four-cylinder engine with 129bhp of power at 13,000rpm and 69Nm of torque at 10,800rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and four riding modes – Sport, Road, Rain or Rider. The braking duties are taken care of by 310 mm discs at the front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear. Kawasaki is expected to price the Ninja ZX-6R at Rs. 12 lakh.

5. Custom Harley Davidson X440 Scrambler

Harley Davidson will officially showcase the custom X440 Scrambler, which is going to be built in partnership with Rajputana Customs, which is known for their custom bikes, especially Royal Enfield motorcycles. Some of the changes expected on the custom version include a shorter tail section along with a flat handlebar with knuckle guards. The alloy wheels will be replaced by spoke wheels with Knobby tyres while the standard exhaust could be changed to free-flow exhaust for added sound note.
