Toyota To Introduce Rebadged Fronx In India As Taisor

Toyota and Suzuki’s global partnership is helping the Indian division of Toyota to expand its lineup rapidly to segments where it is not present. The next re-badge model under the partnership will be from Toyota as it is going to introduce Taisor which is basically rebadged Fronx as Maruti officially introduced this model during the 2023 Auto Expo. The Fronx is based on the Baleno hatchback which Toyota also sell as Glanza so this new model was expected from Toyota.

Like all other rebadged models, we can expect Toyota to make some minor changes as they need to keep the cost down. The changes for the Taisor includes new front grille along with updated bumper but the headlamps is expected to be carried over. The changes to the side include logo change while the rear gets a new bumper along with new badges. Toyota might introduce some new colour options on the Taisor as it will make at least the model stand out from Fronx.

The interior changes again will be minimal as the Suzuki logo will be replaced by Toyota. The Taisor will come with features like a 9-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, 360-degree camera, head-up-display and more. Like Maruti, Toyota will offer two engine options – 1.0 L turbo petrol with 99 hp and 1.2 L naturally-aspirated unit with 89 hp, the transmission options include manual and automatic gearboxes. The Taisor is expected to be launched during festival season.
