Toyota Discontinued Fortuner TRD Limited Edition, Facelift Launch Next Year

Toyota is going to introduce the much-awaited Fortuner facelift model in India next year. Now the company has discontinued the TRD Limited Edition variant, which was positioned above the top-spec variant and it comes with cosmetic changes over the regular model but people really like it thanks to the dual-tone theme and sporty design elements. The TRD variant was priced at a premium of Rs. 2.3 lakh over the regular and it was available only with an automatic gearbox.

Instead of the TRD Limited Edition, Toyota will introduce the Legender variant with the facelift model. When compared to the regular model, Legender variant gets new front grille with a honeycomb design and Toyota logo in the middle. The lower part of the bumper gets black finish along with LED DRLs. Toyota has also given faux skid plate at the front and rear for an SUV look. The headlamps are sleeker and they are full-LED units too.

The side design is similar to the regular model but the alloy wheels are 20-inch and they are finished in a silver pattern. The rear gets new bumper along with updated LED tail lamps. Toyota is offering a dual-tone colour theme with Fortuner Legender and black will be the contrasting colour. The Fortuner Legender is available in White Pearl CS with black roof, Emotional Red with black roof and Attitude Black Mica. We can expect more colours to be offered in the India-spec model.

The interior design theme is carried over from regular Fortuner but the Legender variant comes with the 9-inch infotainment system, JBL speakers, wireless charging, ambient lighting, 360-degree camera and more. One of the major change of the Legender variant is that it comes with new suspension, which is tuned for better comfort and it is powered by 2.8 L diesel engine producing 204 PS and 500 Nm, mated to 6-speed automatic gearbox.
