Maruti Suzuki is going to launch the new generation Swift next month in the Indian market. The company is also developing the Dzire, which is expected to make its debut during the festival season. Even though the model has been spied on several times, the design theme is yet to be revealed. According to new reports, the new generation Dzire will get a different design theme compared to the Swift as the company wants to differentiate both models. Over the years, Maruti has been trying to do this, as it is evident from the current model.
Some of the major changes include a new front bumper along with some sheet metal changes like the new hood and other body parts. The rear end will look completely different as it is expected to look more like a proper sedan rather than a compact sedan. Thanks to the sub-four metre length, Maruti Suzuki is able to get excise duty benefits for the Dzire, which will help the company to price the model aggressively against the competition even though it is not required as Dzire is the best-selling model in its segment.
The interior design theme is again going to be different from the Swift dashboard is likely to be similar to Fronx and Baleno while the Dzire gets a slightly premium theme and like the current model, the dual-tone theme is expected to be retained. Maruti will also offer more features on the new Dzire like the 360-degree camera, sunroof (which is going to be first in the segment), leatherette seats and more. Like the Swift, Maruti Suzuki will use the same 1.2 L Z-Series petrol engine with a 5-speed manual and AMT.
