By Kia officially revealed the new K4 sedan at the 2024 New York Auto Show. This new addition to Kia’s lineup showcases a design that echoes the smaller K3 model, albeit with some distinct differences, especially in the United States market where Kia is gradually phasing out its entry-level sedan, the Rio. One of the notable features of the K4 sedan is its exterior styling, which hints at a larger footprint compared to its predecessor, the Forte. Despite its sleek and modern profile with a rakish roofline, the K4 remains true to its sedan roots with a traditional trunk lid.
Kia has also made thoughtful design choices, such as integrating the door handles into the pillars and enlarging the quarter glass, giving the K4 a more spacious and refined appearance. Stepping inside the cabin, the 2025 K4 introduces a bold teal interior coupled with a dual-screen setup, marking a significant departure from its predecessors. Despite the modern touchscreen interface, Kia ensures that drivers still have access to familiar controls for climate settings, media, and navigation, along with convenient shortcuts. The driver and front passenger are treated to luxurious features like heated and ventilated seats, with additional controls conveniently located above the door handle for easy access.
Technological advancements are also evident in the K4, with features like a head-up display, multiple USB ports, a 12V 180W socket, and a drive mode button on the steering wheel, enhancing both convenience and driving experience. For those who prefer tactile controls, a rotary controller below the display provides an alternative input method. Furthermore, Kia offers a range of interior colour options, including Slate Green, Canyon Brown, Onyx Black, and Medium Gray, allowing buyers to personalize their K4 to suit their tastes and preferences.
