Rolls Royce Spectre Launched In India At Rs. 7.5 Crore

Rolls Royce officially launched the Spectre in India at Rs. 7.5 Crore (Ex-Showroom), which is the base price as depending on adding the option, the price can go up by well above Rs. 10 crore. The Spectre is currently the most expensive four-wheeled electric vehicle currently on sale in the Indian market. The British manufacturer globally revealed the model in October 2022. Even before the official launch, the company had already delivered the first Spectre to a customer in Chennai, which is finished in a unique blue shade.

The Spectre is the first electric vehicle from Rolls Royce and it is based on the Architecture of Luxury platform as it underpins models like the Phantom, Cullinan and Ghost. Even though the Spectre uses the same platform, it has been developed from the ground up with electrification as an option. The introduction of this new platform certainly made an impact on Rolls Royce models as it is very advanced with the use aluminium spaceframe. The overall body shape is also very efficient in cutting through air as the drag coefficient is 0.25 CD.

Another highlight of the Spectre is that it comes with 23-inch alloy wheels which is a first time for Rolls Royce coupe models. The interior is also unique as it features Rolls Royce’s new Spirit software platform which brings in connected car tech to the Spectre which will be subsequently introduced in other models too as it is a completely new software instead of the usual BMW i-drive software. The Spectre gets a 102 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which produces 593 PS and 900 Nm, 0-100 kph in 4.5 sec and the claimed WLTP range is 520 Km.
